This is the CXR of 51yr old man admitted with severe dypsnoea in A&E.
Whenever you look at a heart failure CXR,
Remember ABCDE.
A for alveolar edema, the Bat`s wing on both side of the lungs.
B for Kerley B line, interstitial edema.Look at the right lower lobe.
C for cardiomegaly. an enlarge heart occupying more than 2/3 to the left side.
D for dilated upper lobe vessels.
E for pleural Effusion. (Not seen in the film) But look for meniscus and the costophrenic angle.
